In our experience, their service to Lockers, Delivery Points, and Home (where available) is consistently more reliable than other postal services. For home deliveries, a trusted local carrier will handle the final leg (e.g., bpost in Belgium, PostNL in the Netherlands, and Hermes in Germany).
• Eco-Friendly Choice: Choosing a Mondial Relay Locker or Point Relais (ie: Delivery Point store) isn’t just convenient; it’s a greener way to receive your order. These locations are often along routes you already travel – like your commute or school run – which significantly reduces the delivery company’s fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to individual door-to-door deliveries. Mondial Relay will hold your package at your selected Locker or Point Relais (ie: Delivery Point store) for 5 calendar days, starting the day after it arrives.

If the package isn’t collected within this timeframe, it will be returned to us.

To help you remember, Mondial Relay sends reminders via SMS and email every 2 days.

🚚 Important note: If your package is returned to us, you may be asked to pay a re-shipping fee. Repeated returns and re-shipments also have an environmental impact, so we kindly ask you to collect your package promptly.

You will need either:

• your Flax & Stitch order number and your email address.

• The Mondial Relay Tracking Number. We will send you a ‘Shipping Confirmation’ email which includes this Tracking Number.

We prepare the received orders on Monday and Thursday afternoons at around 16:00.

We ship the prepared packages on Tuesday and Friday mornings.

If your order is urgent, please let us know in the ‘Comments’ field of your order and we’ll try meet your requirements.

We offer two sustainable packaging options, depending on the size and weight of orders:

Compostable Poly-Mailers (for lighter and smaller packages)

• Made from plant-derived bio-resin, designed to break down naturally in compost environments.
• Decomposes in home composting within 90-180 days.
• Breaks down in industrial composting within approximately 90 days.
• Certified under EN13432, converting into biomass, CO₂, and water, leaving no harmful residues.

Biodegradable Poly-Mailers (for heavier packages)

• Designed to decompose within 24-36 months when discarded in regular waste.
• Contain a chemical additive that allows microorganisms to break down the material.
• Eventually breaks down into biomass, CO₂, and water—without leaving microplastics.

• Compostable mailers – Place in your compost bin or industrial composting facility (via you food waste recycling bag) where they will break down naturally.
• Biodegradable mailers – Dispose of in regular waste, where microorganisms will gradually break them down.
• Do not place either type in recycling bins, as they are not designed for standard recycling streams and may contaminate recyclable materials.
