Five years on every Flaxie Freeze freezer bag
Every Flaxie Freeze freezer bag bought from 1 October 2026 is guaranteed for 5 years.
If it stops doing its job in that time, we repair it — and if it can’t be repaired, we replace it.
Within the EU, it costs you nothing, postage included.
Why we can offer this
Flaxie Freeze bags are made from independently tested food-safe PUL (Celabor, Belgium), close with KAM snaps, and are handmade in Walloon Entreprises de Travail Adapté (ETAs) in Belgium. We have used the prototype bags in-house since 2018, washing them at 60°C with no delamination or broken snaps. If something does go wrong, we would rather fix it than see it thrown away.
What we ask of you
- Use your bag for everyday food storage and follow our care instructions: machine wash up to 60°C, and never use it in the microwave or oven.
- Keep your proof of purchase — your order number, or the receipt from the shop where you bought it.
What’s covered
- Flaxie Freeze freezer bags in every size, bought new from 1 October 2026.
- The whole bag: the PUL fabric and its lamination, the seams, and the snaps.
- Flaxie Freeze bought from flaxandstitch.com, from us at fairs and markets, or from any shop that stocks Flax & Stitch.
- Customers in the EU: repairs and replacements are free, postage included.
- Customers outside the EU (for example Switzerland or the United Kingdom): the guarantee works in exactly the same way, but you pay the postage — to send your bag to us, and for us to send it back or send a replacement — as well as any customs charges.
What’s not covered
- Accidental damage, such as cuts, burns, or tears from sharp objects.
- Damage caused by not following the care instructions — for example, washing above 60°C or heating the bag in a microwave or oven.
- Bags that have been altered, or repaired by someone other than us.
- Changes in appearance that don’t affect how the bag works, such as fading or staining.
How to make a claim
- Email us at hello@flaxandstitch.com with your proof of purchase, a short description of the problem, and a few photos.
- We reply within 5 working days to let you know whether we can repair the bag.
- If we can repair it, we send you a prepaid shipping label (EU addresses). We repair the bag and post it back to you, free of charge within the EU.
- If it can’t be repaired, we send you a new Flaxie Freeze bag in the same size — there’s no need to send the old one back. If your pattern is no longer available, we’ll offer you the closest match.
If we can neither repair nor replace your bag, we refund the price you paid. A repaired or replacement bag stays covered for the rest of the original 5 years.
Your legal rights
This guarantee is offered free of charge by Flax & Stitch as the maker of Flaxie Freeze. It comes in addition to your legal guarantee of conformity: in the EU, the seller is responsible, free of charge, for any lack of conformity that appears within at least 2 years of delivery. If you bought your bag from a shop, that legal guarantee is with the shop. This guarantee does not affect those rights in any way.
